Only two guests are booked at each Lighthouse Cottage retreat. Accommodations are on the second floor in the assistant lighthouse keeper’s apartment; a flight of stairs is required for entry. The first floor is the lighthouse keeper’s home-turned-museum and is not accessible outside of normal operating hours. The lighthouse is located in a state park and in the off-season (mid-October to the end of April) is quiet and remote; only the Lighthouse Cottage is open. To keep this all-inclusive retreat affordable, retreats are booked only during mid-September through the end of May.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The cottage does not have wifi or internet access. If you can’t write without it, do not book a retreat.
The apartment has three bedrooms, and each guest has her own private room with queen-sized bed and shares a bath. The living room has a sofa, two chairs, a writing desk and an electric fireplace. The kitchen has an electric stove, refrigerator, microwave, cookware and dishes. But you’re not worrying about that as home-cooked meals are included and will be served to you. Your dietary concerns will determine the meal plan.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served at mutually agreed-upon times.
